Thank you for staying tuned to the podcast, and as your provider of inspiration and crafty news and reviews, I still pledge to provide you with fresh new material on a biweekly basis. For me this is a realistic goal... we know that these are, realistic goals... it's a huge element of self-care. Ok, I'm rambling now, but the thing is we all know we have actual limits, I know it doesn't sound very encouraging, but the thing is, if we know our 'boundaries' (what I call limits now... it sounds better), we know how to take care of ourselves. As for me, my boundaries tell me that I need to listen to my body, I need to eat properly to manage my diabetes, and I need to go to meetings (AA, I've been in sobriety since March of 85). All of these things helps me live better. No, it doesn't bring me unlimited income, or superhuman strength... it just helps me be me. What are your boundaries? Here are a few healthy boundaries and guidelines..
- Eliminating toxic people from your life... you know, the ones that suck the life from you and it's just painful trying to maintain a friendship with them. Surround yourself with those that support you, that make you smile when you see their text rather than want to turn your phone off...
- Listen to your body... in other words... don't push yourself if it makes you ill...I'm all for going for it, pulling an all nighter to finish a project. Yet, if it causes you to down coffee laced with Red Bull it's probably not the best idea. Yes, have goals, but don't wake up and decide to run a 5k if the last time you actually ran was to prevent your four year old nephew from falling off a balcony. You see where I'm going here. The gist is, rest when you are tired (both emotional and physical), eat when you are hungry, take a step back when your body says 'WAAAAIT A MINUTE!'
- Vision Board.... find a goal, a vision for your life. Is it a new career? Going back to school? Starting a new craft?
- Nurture yourself.... surround yourself with positive people, cut out the negative media, read something inspiring, journal.....
These are just a few.... So in light of all that, while camping, on the first day mind you, I broke my foot in two places... I tripped over a rock. Grace personified. So now I'm stuck in 'frankenboot' for the next 6-8 weeks. With this I've had to re-evaluate my Summer plans... hey, on the bright side, at least I didn't break my wrist, I can still craft...

I'm loving this...
Last podcast I told you about this amazing book, Daisy Jones and the Six, I am halfway through and I must tell you I am so enamored by the characters that Taylor Jenkins Reid have created. The sexy and sullen Billy, the practical and pragmatic Karen, and of course the whirling waif of sometimes self-destruction and love... Daisy. These are just a few of the characters that you will instantly find some type of connection to. This book is written not in the normal writing form of a novel, it's more of a screenplay, and I have found these people coming to life as I read. This book is easy to find on Amazon and other retailers.
