April for me marks the beginning of second quarter here at Altered Whimseys. What I thought was going to be an explosive start to the year with a store full of cards and hopefully some blog sponsors pretty much ended with a sigh.... I'll say it again like I did last year... life happens when you're making plans. So I'm halfway into the first month of second quarter and still nowhere near where I want to be, thus begs the question... why am I setting myself up with these really high expectations? Lately, my greatest accomplishment is getting out of bed and into the shower before noon. When you are a happy house frau with a schedule that's pretty much your own (I don't have kids), this can easily happen. This year my thought process was to get Altered Whimseys noticed in a big way in the crafting world, perhaps even find my way onto a design team, get my YouTube demos and videos produced and out there. That's a lot.... a lot for me that is.

Now is the time to regroup and move forward with my creativity instead of bemoaning my last quarter that was full of sick days and lack of mojo. No more negative Nellie.... If you write/create/live positive you will get a positive reaction... Last quarter...? LET IT GO! It's done, you can't change it, you also must not ruminate over it. Find yourself a fresh new journal, your favorite pen and start again....time to dream, time to hope, time to create.... the skies the limit!
